Birth Doula Support

As a doula I am here not only to support you, but to help support your partner too. Not only will I be an active presence during your pregnancy and labour, research has shown that having a doula present during birth can reduce the chances of a caesarean section by up to 50%, and shorten labour of first-time pregnancies by at least 2 hours.

I am here to fully support you in any way you choose to birth, whether it be at home or at the hospital, or a Caesarean birth. I will support any decisions you make and can help with any research and information you may need to enable you to make the best decisions for you and your baby. I am very fortunate to have some great contacts in the birth world and if there is something I am unsure of, with your permission, I will always seek further advice to give you the best information possible.

I will be present throughout your pregnancy if you have any concerns or questions, and as from 38 weeks of pregnancy I will be on call for you 24/7 until you baby is here. I can also be present for any antenatal appointments you may have and offer hypnobirthing sessions (if desired) as a part of my care.

I have three guideline packages, however I tailor the care plans to suit every woman individually and I will ensure we have a plan that is best for you.

At present, due to Covid-19 restrictions, all doula support will be completed remotely, unless in the instance of a home birth where other terms can be discussed.
